Kilimanjaro

Welcome to Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is a metaphor for the continent’s captivating splendor. Kilimanjaro, rising in complete solitude at 5,895m (19,336ft), is one of the world’s highest walkable mountains and a beacon for travelers from all over the world. Despite being only three degrees south of the equator, Kilimanjaro’s majestic peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi remain covered in snow and ice all year. With just a walking stick, warm clothes, and determination, most reasonably fit and properly guided climbers can feel the triumph of reaching the crater rim. Climbers who reach Uhuru Point, the real summit, or Gilman’s Point on the crater’s lip (Kilimanjaro is a dormant, but not extinct) will receive their certificates.
