The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) lies 180 kilometers west of Arusha and has Africa’s best mix of scenery, wildlife, people, and archaeological monuments. The Crater floor’s abundant grassland and perennial water sustain a huge resident wildlife population of up to 25,000 species, mostly grazing animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority administers the conservation area, which follows the boundaries of the Ngorongoro Division in the Ngorongoro District.
